Our story

Why we exist

WorkflowPower started in 2018, when our founder Josh Barter was juggling work across multiple businesses and locations and went looking for a better way to keep it all straight. Work management platforms turned out to be the answer, and helping other businesses get that same control became the whole mission.

Hundreds of projects later, a deeper pattern was impossible to ignore. The platform was never really the point. The businesses that thrived weren't the ones with the best software, they were the ones whose work was structured properly underneath it. So WorkflowPower evolved: from setting up platforms, to designing the operating structure first and building the technology and AI agents on top of it. The same obsession with making work flow, taken all the way down to the foundations.

Josh founded WorkflowPower after noticing the same pattern across every organisation he worked with. Operational problems that looked like people problems or software problems were almost always structural ones. Fix the structure, and the technology starts doing what it was supposed to. He now leads a practice that designs workflow systems and deploys AI agents for growing organisations across Australia and New Zealand, working across the full stack: platform implementation, custom integrations, automation design and multi-agent AI systems built around how clients actually operate. He brings an analytical approach to operational complexity and a preference for systems that hold under pressure. He's a daily user of work management platforms, actively builds and tests AI agent systems, and applies the same methodology to WorkflowPower's own operations that he builds for clients.
